General Terms and Conditions

These General Terms and Conditions for Hotel Services (hereinafter – the Terms) establish the procedure and conditions for the provision of services at the Lajos Hotel, administered by UAB "Lajos", located at B. Sruogos 5, Birštonas (hereinafter – the Hotel).

RESERVATION SUBMISSION AND CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

- Reservations to the Hotel for the provision of services must be submitted via the hotel reservation system www.book.lajos.lt, other platforms, by email at book@lajos.lt, by phone, or at the Hotel reception.

- When submitting a reservation to the Hotel, the Customer must specify the number of guests arriving at the Hotel, their names and surnames, the category (type) of the requested room or rented premises, arrival and departure dates, other desired services, and the payment method for the services provided by the Hotel.

- If the Hotel has concluded a cooperation agreement with a physical or legal entity, the code or number of the cooperation agreement must be specified when submitting the reservation to the Hotel.

- Upon receiving a reservation for its services via website or other platforms, by email, or at the Hotel reception, the Hotel confirms the rates and conditions of the services provided to the customer: provides the guest with detailed information about the services requested to be reserved, their rates, duration, the requested advance payment (deposit, if applicable) for the reserved services, the deadline for paying the advance payment (deposit), cancellation conditions for the ordered services, and other relevant information.

-  The Hotel reserves the right to refuse entry to undesirable persons based on the Hotel's internal regulations and other local or national regulatory acts in force in the Republic of Lithuania.

PREPAYMENT CONDITIONS

-  The Customer must pay the reservation invoice no later than 24 hours prior to arrival at the hotel.

-  Depending on the room category, 1-6 persons can be accommodated in the rooms. At the customer's request, an extra bed may be provided for an additional fee, subject to availability.

-  Advance reservations are confirmed upon advance payment of a reservation fee, which is equivalent to 100 percent of the total cost of the stay (deposit). In exceptional cases, the deposit may be a different amount.

-  In the event of cancellation, shortening of the reservation, or no-show of the customer, a cancellation fee applies. In the event of cancellation/shortening of the reservation or no-show less than 24 hours prior to arrival – 100% of the total value of the reservation.

-  The contract for the Hotel services is considered concluded when the Hotel receives the reservation for its services and confirms it by providing a written reservation confirmation. The conclusion of the contract for the Hotel services cancels all prior agreements between the parties regarding the terms and procedures of the Hotel services and obligates the parties to fulfill the concluded contract.

-  If one clause of the contract for the Hotel services is deemed invalid or is being renegotiated, the other clauses of the said contract and the entire contract remain valid.

-  A reservation for Hotel services is guaranteed once it is paid in accordance with the conditions specified in the reservation confirmation. The reservation can be guaranteed by a credit card, prepayment, or an agreement with the Hotel.

ADMISSION AND ACCOMMODATION PROCEDURE

-  During registration at the Hotel, the guest fills out the "Guest Registration Card" indicating their name, surname, date of birth, name and number of the identity document, country, city, phone number, email address, name and surname of the accompanying adult, arrival and departure dates, number of minor children arriving together, indicates whether they arrived through a tour operator, and signs. These requirements are approved by the Law on Tourism of the Republic of Lithuania.

-  During registration, the hotel receptionist:

-  In order to ensure that the guest wishing to receive the service(s) has provided accurate and complete data and information about themselves on the "Guest Registration Card", and to ensure the accuracy of the data and information provided by the guest, and to verify the identity of the payment instrument holder and establish the validity and legality of the payment or other related operations, asks the guest to provide an identity document and the credit card used to guarantee the reservation and/or make the prepayment, and performs a card verification operation in accordance with the recommendations provided by the bank;

-  Acquaints the guest with the Hotel's "Privacy Policy" and these, i.e., "Hotel Lajos Internal Regulations".

- Provides information about the services offered at the Hotel, current special offers, and the opening hours of the restaurant and hotel.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIME

-  Hotel guests may check-in at the Hotel from 15:00 on the day of arrival specified in the reservation;

- Hotel guests must check-out of the Hotel by 12:00 on the day of departure;

- If a guest wishes to check-out later than 12:00, they must inform the Hotel reception so that, if possible, the guest's stay and the validity of the electronic key can be extended.

-  Late check-out condition. If the guest does not check-out of the Hotel by 12:00, but later – an additional fee applies. Until 14:00 – EUR 50, and until 18:00 – 50% of the daily rate of the total contractual accommodation services; if the guest leaves the Hotel after 18:00, 100% of the daily accommodation services price applies.

PRICES AND PAYMENTS

-  The prices of the Hotel services (including VAT), payment procedure, and conditions are specified in cooperation agreements, individual reservation offers and reservation confirmations, on the Hotel's website www.lajos.lt, in hotel reservation systems, and in other official advertising and information materials of the Hotel. Hotel room rates are inclusive of breakfast (in the hotel restaurant from 8:00 to 10:00 on weekdays, from 8:00 to 11:00 on weekends; the time may be adjusted at the discretion of the administration).

-  Payment for services to the Hotel can be made in cash, by credit card, or by bank transfer.

- Unless otherwise agreed, final payment for Hotel services is made before arrival. If a service provision agreement or other individual agreement – reservation confirmation – has been concluded with the Hotel, the payment procedure and conditions for the Hotel services specified in that agreement or reservation confirmation shall apply.

- Reserved and confirmed Hotel services are non-refundable if the customer did not use them and did not inform the Hotel of the cancellation of these services in accordance with the procedure specified in the reservation confirmation or agreement.

-  The amount of the advance payment paid to the Hotel, as well as the conditions and procedure of the advance payment, are specified in the service provision agreement, individual agreements, offers, the Hotel's reservation confirmation, and/or the prepayment invoice provided.

-  The price of Hotel services specified in the reservation confirmation can only be changed by written agreement of the parties.

-  If more guests stay in the Hotel room than specified in the reservation confirmation, an additional fee is paid to the Hotel for each extra guest.

-  Guests staying at the Hotel for less than one Hotel day (21 hours) pay the price of a full day, regardless of the check-in, check-out, and payment hour.

-  If a Hotel guest has not vacated the room by the agreed departure time and there is no possibility of contacting them, or when a guest maliciously fails to pay for the services provided and does not vacate the room at the request of the administration, the Hotel administration reserves the right to move the guest's belongings to other secure premises within the Hotel.

- In the event that a guest causes material damage to the Hotel and departs without reporting it, or departs without paying for the services provided by the Hotel, the Hotel has the right to charge the corresponding amount of losses or unpaid services from the bank card provided by the guest during registration, without the guest's presence, having previously informed them by the contact phone number or email address specified on the guest registration card. By agreeing to these Rules, the guest simultaneously authorizes the Hotel to perform such a payment transaction.

ACCOMMODATION WITH PETS

- Stays with pets must be reserved in advance. The number of rooms where pets are allowed is limited.

- The Hotel accepts no more than one small or medium-sized dog per room. Other pets are not accepted.

- An additional fee of EUR 30 per night applies for the accommodation of a pet (dog).

- Pets are not allowed in the Bistro breakfast room. Pets are allowed on the outdoor terrace and in other areas specified by the Hotel administration.

- In common areas and on the Hotel territory, pets must be kept on a leash.

- The guest must ensure that the pet does not disturb the rest of other guests, does not pose a danger to others, does not soil the Hotel territory, and does not cause damage to the Hotel property.

- The pet owner is responsible for any damage caused by the pet to Hotel property or third parties and undertakes to compensate for all losses incurred as a result.

- The Hotel has the right to refuse accommodation or request the removal of the pet if it poses a danger, makes noise, disturbs the rest of other guests, or violates these rules.

- The Hotel is not responsible for the health, safety, or possible health disorders of the pet during the stay.

STORAGE OF BELONGINGS AND LIABILITY

- Upon discovering the disappearance, shortage, or damage of their belongings, a guest staying at the Hotel must immediately report it to the Hotel administration.

-  Guests have the option to use the safe installed in the Hotel room. The contents of the safe are unknown to the Hotel, and the Hotel is not responsible for the preservation, disappearance, shortage, or accidental damage of belongings left in the safe.

- The Hotel is not liable if the belongings were not preserved due to the fault of the owner, accompanying persons, or visitors invited to the Hotel, force majeure, or due to the properties of the item itself.

-  The Hotel parking lot is not guarded. The Hotel is not responsible for the non-preservation of vehicles belonging to guests staying at the Hotel, left in the parking lot, and any items inside them.

- The Hotel undertakes to store guests' belongings found (left behind) at the Hotel for 1 month after the guest's departure.

- Upon written request of the guest, belongings belonging to the guest stored at the Hotel can be shipped or otherwise sent, provided the guest agrees to pay the shipping or other delivery costs of the item(s).

- Persons staying at the Hotel must maintain cleanliness and order, preserve the equipment, furniture, and other items in the rooms and common areas.

- The Hotel guest must properly use the items and equipment in the Hotel and immediately report any noticed malfunctions to the Hotel, as well as compensate for damages if those malfunctions occurred due to the guest's fault.

- A Hotel guest who has caused damage to the Hotel property must pay a fine equal to the amount assessed for the damage by the Hotel administration in accordance with the established statement of incurred losses.

- The Hotel guest must compensate the Hotel for material losses caused by the fault of the guest or other persons invited to the Hotel by the guest.

- Items in the Hotel rooms and other premises are the property of the Hotel, and the Hotel guest has no right to take them upon departure, except for single-use hygiene products.

FORCE MAJEURE

-  The parties' liability for non-performance of the contract for Hotel services under force majeure circumstances is regulated by Article 6.212 of the Civil Code of the Republic of Lithuania.

RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF THE HOTEL ADMINISTRATION. PREMISES MAINTENANCE AND GUEST SERVICE

- The Hotel provides accommodation, catering, conference, and other event organization services in accordance with the procedure established by the legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania.

-  To ensure the safety of guests and their property, video surveillance cameras are installed in common areas and on the exterior of the building.

-  The Hotel reception is open from 09:00 to 21:00, 7 days a week. Outside of reception hours, assistance for urgent matters is available at tel.: +370 626 15000. Room service works daily, and rooms are cleaned from 8:00 to 17:00.

- The Hotel premises, equipment, furniture, and bed linen must be clean and orderly. Cleaning of Hotel rooms and common spaces complies with the hygiene standards established by the Public Health Center.

- The Hotel is not responsible for unsecured and lost belongings, valuables, and/or damage caused to them in common areas, rooms, restaurant, or other spaces of the Hotel.

-  Breakfast is served at the Hotel from 8:00 to 10:00 on weekdays, and from 8:00 to 11:00 on weekends in the Hotel restaurant, or elsewhere, provided guests are informed in advance about a change in the breakfast venue.

-  Hotel towels and bathrobes are changed daily upon the guest's request or if they are left on the floor. Bed linen is changed every third day (with the option to opt-out) or upon request.

-  If a guest hangs a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door, the room will not be cleaned.

- The room temperature during the heating season must be at least +18°C.

- Without disturbing the residents, the Hotel staff carries out minor repairs of premises and inventory, and maintains cleanliness.

- To ensure order and safety, the Hotel administration has the right to enter the rooms occupied by the Hotel guests.

- The Hotel administration has the right to expel guests from the Hotel who repeatedly violate these Rules after the first warning. In this case, the money paid by the guest is non-refundable, and the guest must pay for all goods and/or services purchased prior to expulsion.

- The Hotel administration has the right to unilaterally decide to evict a Hotel guest(s) without prior notice if they pose a threat to other residents of the Hotel.

- The Hotel administration has the right to decide to accommodate or transfer the Hotel guest(s) to another room or another accommodation establishment (under the same or better conditions).

- Due to technical issues or other unforeseen reasons, the Hotel may temporarily suspend the provision of certain services.

OTHER CONDITIONS

- Guests staying at the Hotel must:

- strictly adhere to fire safety rules;

- when leaving the room, make sure that the water taps are tightly closed, lights and TV are turned off, windows are closed, the room door is locked, and no unauthorized person can enter;

- upon departure from the hotel, pay for the services provided and hand over the occupied room to the hotel administration.

-  The following is prohibited in the Hotel:

-  making noise in the Hotel and/or the Hotel territory from 23:00 to 8:00, i.e., playing loud music, playing musical instruments, singing loudly, shouting, or making other noises. If a guest fails to comply with this prohibition and thereby disturbs public peace and interferes with other persons living and/or working in the Hotel, they shall be held liable in accordance with the law;

- leaving minor children under the age of 14 unattended;

-  bringing unauthorized persons to the Hotel territory or into the room without informing the Hotel receptionist;

- disturbing the rest of other guests, organizing photo shoots in public areas without prior agreement with the Hotel;

- smoking in rooms, the restaurant, the Hotel SPA area, and other non-smoking areas. If the administration records a violation, a fine of EUR 100 applies to the guest.

- moving furniture or otherwise rearranging the room interior;

-  launching fireworks on the Hotel territory;

- littering in the Hotel and on its territory.

- bringing life-threatening tools, weapons, or other means into the Hotel territory;

- during events, it is strictly forbidden to use catering services of other persons or companies and to consume own drinks without prior agreement with the administration.

- Guests are not allowed into the restaurant wearing bathrobes.

- Guests themselves are responsible for their safety while using the services provided by the Hotel.

- Children under 16 (sixteen) years of age are allowed to use the equipment only under the supervision of parents or accompanying adults. Parents or accompanying adults are responsible for the behavior and safety of minor children in the Hotel spaces.

- In case of loss or damage to the electronic room card/key, a fine of EUR 20/unit applies.

- If a guest fails to fulfill their obligations under the contract for Hotel services and/or uses the accommodation, catering, conference, and event hall premises provided to them in a manner other than agreed with the Hotel, the Hotel has the right to unilaterally terminate the contract for Hotel services with the guest without prior notice and demand payment of 100% of the total amount of services specified in the reservation confirmation.

- All information that the Hotel and the guest learned during their cooperation is confidential and cannot be transferred or otherwise disclosed to a third party without prior written agreement, except when disclosure is necessary under the laws and other legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania.

- When collecting, processing, and storing the guest's data and information, the Hotel complies with the Law on Legal Protection of Personal Data of the Republic of Lithuania and other legal acts regulating the collection, processing, and storage of personal data. The Hotel's "Privacy Policy" can be found at the hotel reception and on the website www.lajos.lt

- The Privacy Policy is drawn up in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data, the Law on Legal Protection of Personal Data of the Republic of Lithuania (hereinafter – ADTAĮ), and other legal acts of the European Union and the Republic of Lithuania. The terms used in the Policy are understood as defined in the GDPR and ADTAĮ.

- Any disputes arising between the Hotel and guests shall be resolved through negotiations.

- If a dispute cannot be resolved through negotiations, it shall be resolved in accordance with the procedure established by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania.

- You can submit a request/complaint regarding the services provided in our Hotel to the State Consumer Rights Protection Authority (Vilniaus g. 25, 01402 Vilnius, e-mail: tarnyba@vvtat.lt, tel. +370 5 262 67 51, website www.vvtat.lt), as well as to the territorial divisions of the State Consumer Rights Protection Authority in the counties, or fill out an electronic application form.
